The majority of work is done by volunteers who train long hours to be able to help people prepare for and respond to disasters.

DO NOT TAKE THE RED CROSS CLASS. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Its a joke. Online class continues to send message "audio failed please wait". If you call Red Cross and have a question they don't answer phone and if they do the connection is so bad you can only hear every 4th word. I want my money back. I will find another company that will certify. I wish they had a 1/2 star.
