This gets 5 stars as a classic roadside hotel you may see on TV shows and movies. Set your expectations low. If you are expecting a Marriot, this ain't it. Classic salmon colored bathroom tiles. Baseboard heat. This is a place our family would go to when we had little money and brings back memories. It also gets 5 stars because it was very clean. The front desk was helpful, although their credit card swiper took a while.

The bathroom was small and dirty with black mold spots all over. There was absolutely no hot water the first time I tried to shower, the next morning it was just barely warm. The old mattress was saggy, and the ice machine was broken.

The office smelled terrible and my room was not that clean. Carpets were gross so I don't recommend walking on them with out shoes. The bathroom sink and shower were leaking really bad not to mention it was very out dated and a lot of rust. I won't ever be returning but I guess if you need a cheap place to sleep for the night...then sure? But I'm sure you could definitely find a better motel for the same price. 🙂

The owner and his family are on-premise and I was voluntarily requested to call if I had any issues or needs at any time of the day or night. A fresh, clean scent was the first thing I noticed upon entering my room. The towels and sheets were fresh and soft and all of the linens appeared to be very clean. The amenities are basic and older but in very good shape and the walls have a fresh coat of paint. My room with double beds had a very large shower stall and the bathroom appliances and flooring were immaculately clean. I am very petite and hadn't any problem sliding between sink and shower to access the toilet but for a larger or handicapped individual the small space could present a problem. Due the building structure there doesn't appear to be a way for the owners to amend the situation, but the bathroom set-up may be spaced differently in other rooms.The rooms are non-smoking and there are active security cameras posted along the walkway in front of the doors. Overall, I was very satisfied and felt completely safe. I would absolutely stay again.
