The Pittsburgh synagogue that was shot up and 11 people murdered had no security. This is why we left Kol Tikvah. They also have no security. You can walk right in from the street. They don't have any armed guards and were insulted when we pointed this out to them. Avoid this school. All they care about is your money. No security what so ever. Don't believe me? Park on Ventura and walk right in. When I complained about no security they said if something were to happen they would call the police and their parking attendant in the back looks out. But anyone could get in from the back and from the front and the parking attendant isn't security he's just a little parking guy. They are cutting corners when it comes to security because this is a Liberal Jewish School and they think nothing BAD will ever happen to them. I hope not lots of innocent Jewish children there. Laurie was Director when our kids where there. Very rude and unprofessional and not even Jewish.

This is a wonderful, caring community with fantastic education at all levels from pre-school through adulthood. We have been members for over 12 years and have not regretted it for a minute!

My nephew goes to your temple for High Holiday services and he told me that the services are free. When I checked the ticket prices for seniors it is $70 for each service. What is the answer?

Usually there is a charge for services but you can always call the office and talk to them and see if are any exclusions. They do try to do an educational program on Yom Kippur that is free and that includes services at the very very end of the day.
