I found this cat on the side of the road, I went to vca looking for help They told me to re-dump it where I found it it was at 8:30 at night, they refused to even scan the kitty, I brought it into the Petaluma shelter The next day and she had a chip The owners picked her up and told tge shelter she had gotten out, this place is a DISGRACE Telling me to dump this sweet cat that would have been run over if not for me

All staff were professional, efficient and friendly. Although they were crazy busy when I called, they kindly scheduled my pup on the urgent care wait list. They contacted me a few hours later, when they had availability to see her. I appreciate that Dr. Schaffner provided me with two options for treatment - one conservative and the other more extensive. They would definitely be my first call should I need urgent care help in the future.

We had an emergency as our dog Rio ate some glass. We were sent here right away from the VCA across the highway and I cannot express the level of love and care I received from each team member at this location. David at the front desk was one of the nicest and sweetest staff members I’ve met at any sort of veterinary setting. I was in very much distress and his energy very much made me feel better. The doctor who took care of Rio was very straightforward and had amazing and positive energy as well. In any emergency we will be coming here from now on. It is very obvious they love what they do and truly care about the animals that come in!

After hours questions/ concerns beware!! I am leaving a one star because your receptionist literally just hung up on me when I was asking about if I can have my cats prescription sent to another pharmacy. This would be the night time after hours staff. I can't believe I got hung up on by her without her even checking with a tech or anyone first! It's like she didn't have time for me! Just kept saying I can't answer that because we haven't seen you're cat here....my question was only if there is a pharmacy (like cvs or Costco that I can have the prescription filled at and should I have my regular vet send it to make it easier in case we should need the refill when my regular vet is closed. I literally just got amazing service during their daytime hours, they took the time to put me on hold and ask the techs/doctors my question about my cat that hadn't been seen by them yet and they very graciously provided me with the necessary insulin needles that i needed. Even though it was my mistake the daytime staff took the time to help me even though they hadn't seen my cat. How I was treated last May with my cat in Kidney failure is another messed up story but I didn't post at that time because I was so upset! But basically I was made to wait in the parking lot even though he was in clear distress! I also had to deal with the super happy receptionist telling me how much she loves her job and the animals while my cat was literally dying....like read the room dude! Then they did an unauthorized xray and tried to charge me $300+ for it!! Please enlighten/train the night time receptionists better
