My mom took me here on a Sunday. The Lords day. & of course he graced us with some bomb friend chicken. If you're not familiar with Vallejo, I doubt you'll find this gem. This is where all the cool cars go to get their fix of southern food. The staff is so welcoming & they make you feel at home. & if you don't want to stay here, you can call in & pick up your food & take it to go. The fried chicken is so juicy & moist. & the hospitality makes the place so much better. Potion sizes might be a little big for people who aren't used to it but don't mess with the chicken, trust me, you can eat all of that.

The food is really flavourful you will not be disappointed! I never get pictures because I usually dig right in 😂 The chicken is really good and the cornbread is very thick with a strong crust and bottom. Try to not come at the end of the day as they can sell out of favorites quickly! Very friendly and kind Staff, very giving! (I usually get the chicken🍗 dinner with different sides, this time shown I got rice and gravy with 🍠yams) (And the the other picture is a special, 🦐 shrimp and fries!)

If u like this place... U don't know good food... yams were undercooked Mac and cheese horrible green beans good cornbread hard as hell... I wish my friend could get a refund... I hate he paid for this nasty food... Kool aid wasn't really Kool aiding. ..

Extremely disappointed! My husband and I waited for 2 hours!!! Let's just say the food was NOT worth the wait. I ordered the turkey wings, rice and gravey, yams, and Mac and cheese. The turkey wings were chewy, the Mac and cheese had no season added, and the rice and gravey tasted old also with no season. The cornbread was hard and tasted like cardboard. My husband said his meal was mediocre. He ordered the catfish, green beans, yams, and sausage link. The green beans tasted straight from the can, and so were the yams with a little docking up to it. We also ordered 2 kool-aids which was overly sweet. By the time we were finally able to checkout there was no apology for the wait and no discount added for the long wait. In turn, there was definitely no tip given. There is no excuse for the wait due to the amount of people that was in the back. I will not be returning. I've had so much better!!!
