Smells like roses, the decor is just stunning and the service is top notch. I wouldn't take my trash anywhere else. Everyone I have met is friendly and points you in the right direction. This is absolutely a first date destination. Mind the birds though. But, they do their best to deter the pesky birds from ruining your five star experience with a scare the pants off you explosion once in a while to scare them away. No, you didn't pop a tire, it was just them scaring away the birds. Prices are fair and the experience is one of a kind. 10 out of 10 highly recommend.

What a great way to recycle items and prevent them from ending up in the ground. There are a lot of bargains to be found but only one Friday & Saturday pee month. Everyone I met was friendly both Staff and Shoppers. I know I am going back for more bargains.

Been going to the yolo landfill for about 40 years now, possibly 45, my mom and I sang a special dump song on the way when we went. Always great service, and the site is extremely well maintained. And Jorge is the BEST! I like to call him Gorgeous George, I'm pretty sure he loves it. (OK, perhaps not)

Yolo County's household hazardous waste program does NOT accept biohazardous waste (i.e. medical waste or infectious waste). We DO accept pharmaceuticals (i.e., unused/expired medications) and sharps (e.g. diabetic needles, single-used syringes), but that is the extent of our ability for handling biohazards. Please call Yolo County Environmental Health Department at (530) 666-8856 for all other biohazardous wastes.
No, we do not offer dumpsters or roll-off bins for disposal needs. Yolo County Central Landfill is a destination facility ONLY. We are not in the business of transporting waste. If you are a resident of the city of Davis, please contact Recology at (530) 756-4646.

There is a reuse shed at the hazardous material area in which they have usable items like paint, cleaning supplies, fertilizer, etc. It is all free and Open during the hours for hazmat dropoff. This is Friday and Saturday every week from around 9 to 3. Check it out early because I have found some really expensive things there but they are gone soon after opening Friday morning.
