Nice spot to get cheap accessories for you bike such as fenders and racks. They have cheap bicycles too! Nothing wrong with them. Only issue is their limited open hours, but that is just because they are all volunteers!

Amazing!! Best experience, I had my bike seat stolen so I show up & they gave me a bike seat, stem & lock! Took 3 minutes & they just kept smiling! -Paul Nichols

The Bike Kitchen folks are amazing. They are so knowledgeable and so full of positivity and love for cycling. The Kitchen volunteers fix up used bicycles to great condition and then donate them or sell them at amazingly fair prices to the community. Honestly, this place reminded me how awesome good humans are. We traveled from NY to bring our son to his first year of college at UC Davis and we needed to find him a bike. Brian identified THE perfect bicycle they had just restored. The Kitchen team swapped out some parts to make it even more perfect for our son’s fit and use. Honestly, we’ll remember our awesome experience at the Bike Kitchen as the kickoff of great vibes on the beginning of our son’s exciting adventure away.

Great bike co op with bins full of donated used parts at great prices. Best place to go if you're looking for odds and ends to get your bike working. They also seemed to have a pretty good selection of used bikes if you need something to get around town on

They are open for bike sales and donations by appointment. See website for more details.
They do not do trades or upgrades of any kind
I think so but you’ll have to ask them.
SBK doesn't really pick up that often but if you want to drop them off at the shop we take all donations!
I would definitely try appointment again.
They are closed for public DIY bike repair but are taking sales and donations by appointment. Info is on their website
We are normally open during the following days/times: Tuesday: 6pm to 9pm Wednesday: 6pm to 9pm Thursday: 6pm to 9pm Friday: 10am to 2pm Saturday: 10am to 2pm ***NOTE: All hours are subject to closure should we not have enough volunteer power. This is the reality of a volunteer-run space. If this makes you unhappy, consider becoming a Volunteer–it’s the BEST!!!
$5 dollar shop fee great prices for parts
Tu-Th 6 to 9pm Fri & Sat. 10am to 2pm
So the way SBK works is thr manager on the shift determines the prices for parts. Used brake cables are free, brake pads will probably be super cheap. New brake cables are a few bucks. Tires are up to the Manager. Tubes are free but you must remember this is a non profit and all the the tubes/parts are donated are used and may require patching or repair, as well as the sizes you may need may not be in stock.
I remember in January it was open in the late afternoon on a Saturday.
Closed monday, 6-9 tuesday and i dont want to be incorrect on the rest so hopefully someonee else will answer
