I shop at Sloat often for any plant needs. They always have a wider variety of species. Today I was shopping for cacti and succulents. A little pricey compared to the big box hardware stores but worth it for uniqueness of beauty you will have in your yard.

Susie, the Assistant Manager, is wonderful. She answered all my questions, and made sure I didn't even consider a plant which was wrong for the space I had in mind. She carried the bush I chose to my car and lined the floor with plastic prior to placing the bush in my car. Sloat has a system where the employees can communicate with each other so if a customer is in need of help there is always a way to get someone to them. I was impressed with how efficient, yet friendly the atmosphere is. I would recommend anyone looking for anything for their garden to give Sloat Garden Center a try. I purchased a Loropetallum Purple Diamond, picture attached.

Don't know, but when I was there I didnhear them telling othwr customers to bring their plants back and they will be replaced

Hello and thanks for the question! All Sloat Garden Center locations are open for in-store shopping with safety protocols in place. The number of customers allowed in each of our premises is limited, and 6-foot physical distancing is enforced. We sanitize our stores throughout the day and all cash register areas have sneeze guards. You should always re-pot into better quality pots if they are originally in a small nursery pot meant to grow the plants for sale. If it is already sold in a decorative pot you'll be paying the price for both.
