Great library, but no outdoor seating.

This is one of the worst libraries I have ever been, if you are looking for a quiet place to study AVOID this place. In the area's designated for study, there were people sitting the cubicles eating or just shooting the breeze, not even reading a book. And in the general desk areas there were several people talking obnoxiously loud without any of the librarians intervening to quiet them down. Definitely not returning to this library.

The Gardena Library has its ups and downs, but I really value what the library offers the community. I would appreciate if the staff kept the check-out system at a low volume. The volume has range and is annoying. I do love seeing students working with friends and college students receiving tutoring. What would benefit the library are some study group rooms so people being tutored could speak and not maintain a whisper. Is it just me or does a whisper agitate your ear drum more than just speaking at a normal volume? Other than that, this is a fine institution and I appreciate the librarians and this place. :)

Such amazing staff members. So many options to chose from, you feel comfortable asking anyone anything, this library is like a home! Now with their new checkout technology! It's the great place to go anytime!!

I checked a the events schedule for the branch and found nothing about math tutoring in any language. I do encourage you to r an at the reference desk for other possibilities, they do have resources not available to Google Guides.
Fed Up perhaps? With Katie Couric? I checked the online library catalog and, yes, the library system has several copies. You may want to go in the reserve list for it. You may do so must easily by using the online library catalog yourself. Or call the library. Or go in the library.
