This is a white glove operation! Both employees and the facility are spotless. Very impressive. Their communication about the action needed to rebuild my race car transmissions and the projected cost is clear before work begins. Only wish they were not so busy. Thanks to Ken and crew. Highly recommend GTA for VW EV transmission work. I spent an entire summer putting new engine and rebuilding Trans and in my daughters 2003 EV. I’ve never rebuilt transaxle just a dozen or so gm 4l60’s and 80’s. To get familiar I disassembled and reassembled at least 10 times while I was waiting on new clutches, steels apply pistons and 1-2 drum and bearing. I never even give thought to the Transmission control module having issues as it was not setting any codes on vagcom. Well she maybe got 8k miles on it and trans died. She was in CO I was in MI so she got it towed to the closest shop. I searched all over and even contemplated getting reman trans off ebay but contacted Kateka at GTA. I’m sure glad I did!! We shipped it to GTA and they started on it right away!! It had a faulty TCM and cooked the trans. Even if a quality reman was put it without a reman TCM we would have been in the same situation in less than 10k miles AGAIN! Some may think GTA is too expensive but there is a price to pay for attention to detail and a sense of security knowing everything is done right before it leaves the shop. I would give them a 10 star rating if I could!! They treated my daughter as if she was their own. Thank you Kateka and GTA techs!! You guys are AMAZING!!👊💪❤️❤️

Have a 2002 Eurovan that was having transmission problems (would lock in 3rd gear when the Transaxle would get hot) at 155,000 miles. I called German Transaxle of America from Seattle and they said they has the same Transaxle in stock. I drove to Bend (then flew home to Alaska) and within two days they had the Transaxle replaced and ready to drive! After driving it back to Seattle, I swapped out with my wife, who drove it to Alaska, her comment after getting to Alaska "it shifts so much better and smoother, like a new vehicle"! The folks at German Transaxle of America were fantastic, friendly, helpful and what a clean shop! I would use German Transaxle of America again in a heartbeat! Thanks All at German Transaxle of America!!!

What a great team of competent professionals! Picked up my locking Syncro trans with Paul Guard’s gears. Wow! True craftsmanship!

Questions & Answers

I am thinking of buying a 2003 VW Eurovan camper in your area and was wondering what it would cost to have a transmission cooling unit installed. Parts and labor

It won't be cheap. But will save your transmission.
