Had post-op appointment with Dr . ALBERT Lam for a inguinal hernia . At this appt . Agreed to put a piece of mesh in me to cure the hernia, on 7-14-21. Whe I went in for the hernia surgery Dr. Lam did an I on me with a at least a ten inch incision removing all mesh from the right side of my body including mesh that was installed in me at age 12 for an undecided testicle with the mesh in me I achieved outstanding athlete status in my High Schoolp

Dr. Takahashi has been amazing and incredibly helpful when it comes to ensuring that I understand all aspects of my upcoming procedure. However, dealing with the staff in the office has become such a nightmare that I reached out to my primary care doctor to find out if there was any other office that I could be referred to, because of my issues with the staff. The first issue arose when they scheduled a follow-up appointment with the doctor and sent my labs electronically, without informing me! It wasn't until I reached out to them to schedule my follow up appointment that I was told that my appointment was coming up in few days and my labs were sent electronically. This delay resulted in me not having time to have my labs completed before my follow up appointment, and could've resulted in my missing the appointment had I not contacted them to schedule the appointment myself. Not only do they not return phone calls, but there was a delay of several weeks when it came to sending my file to insurance for pre approval, and when I inquired with the office about the delay, I was told by the person that I spoke with that she had a headache and couldn't explain why she was holding on to my file. She listed several items from a checklist that I already completed weeks prior, and then listed additional items that the doctor wasn't even requiring! When I completed a required class, documentation was sent to them indicating that the class was completed. They continued to indicate that it was not sent to them, even though the Nutritionist at the hospital confirmed that she sent it and requested that they email her to confirm receipt of her email, which they never did. When it came to scheduling my procedure, I called the office several times to speak to the scheduler Colleen and was told that messages were being sent to her, even though she never returned my call. Today was the last straw when I called again to schedule by surgery and was told that she was off today but that another message would be sent and someone would "surely" monitor her messages today and give me a call back. Having wonderful doctors is one thing, but if the staff who are the face of your office incessantly drop the ball, it may result in patients going elsewhere for their procedures!

I have now seen Dr. Friedlander twice and each time she has been extremely professional and thorough, answered all of my questions, and also told me to call with any follow up questions. I did have a medical issue come up after my first appointment which I called to talk to her about. I received a call back that same day and she was able to have a test set up quickly so I didn't have to wait long for the results. She cares, and she made me feel like she is interested in managing my care.

Dr. Ali Jones is an excellent surgeon. She is direct, friendly, compassionate, kind and excellent at what she does. She has done 2 surgeries on me and has kept me informed during the whole process. The office is efficient, and I have had almost no wait time to see the doctor. The office is smart to have patients check in 10 minutes early and this keeps the flow going expediciously. I highly recommend Dr. Ali Jones as a general surgeon.
