Scott and Cathy were wonderful and so welcoming! We just loved our stay with them. We arrived a little early which was not an issue. Cathy told us she was making home made maple syrup they had collected from their trees on the property. (We had it for breakfast the next day and it was amazing!) Scott showed us around their beautiful inn and to our room. We learned about the history of the area and of the Inn. There was a good selection of wine beer and soda in the refrigerator in the breakfast room. The fruit and cheese platters were great before we went out to one of the local restruants which was recommended by Scott. (We went to Jean Bonnett) There was only one other couple staying at this beautiful 4 room B&B on this early March weekend so it was like we had the place to ourselves. Our room was so nice. We stayed in the "good intent" room with the steam shower. We Loved it! The breakfast Cathy made the next morning was so good. There was first a fruit cup, then fresh made muffins. They we had egg fretatas with veges and cheese, waffels with the homemade maple syrup, potatoes and bacon. We were more than full when it was all over. Although we do not have dietary restrictions, the other couple did and Cathy made the other woman all vegan food that she commented many times was so very good. We highly recommend going and spending a night or two with Scott and Cathy at the 1788 Inn!

Had to get off the turnpike because of the snow storm. Found this delightful place to stay. Can't wait to go back. Thank you Scott and Cathy for taking us in and giving us such a warm safe place to stay.

Cathy and Scott were excellent hosts and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and welcomed. Facilities top line. Food was amazing. Only negative was noise and outside light in the bedrooms.

The owners are exceptional hosts. Breakfast is decadent! The history that Scott shares with eloquent storytelling is captivating. It is a charming place and I highly recommend visiting Cathy and Scott!
