I grew up in the 'Wood from 1966 to 1979, but hadn't been back since then. For various reasons I re-visited from 7/28 to 8/1/2022. I was *so* impressed and pleased by my stay that I extended it a night. The history, ambiance, breakfast quality (OMG the bacon!), and especially the hospitality were better than I've ever experienced, and I've stayed in a few B&Bs over the years. I want to go back soon! Thanks Steve and Sabrina for a fabulous visit!

This was my wife and I’s second time staying at a Bed & Breakfast. If I knew they would all be like Ravenswood Bed & Breakfast, I would stay at more of them! The owners were awesome, had fresh cookies waiting for us!!!! He gave us a tour of the home, the history and information on a lot of the decorations and other things in the house. He also gave us history of the area and told us a lot about the big flood in West Virginia’s past. My wife loved the old “claw foot” bathtub which was perfect for her to relax in after 450 miles on a motorcycle. Our room was very nice and the bed was super comfortable! The breakfast was delicious! Fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, biscuits and hash browned potatoes! I wish we would have been able to stay more than one night to enjoy the home and town more! A word of caution though….. you will leave with your cheeks and sides hurting from laughing so much! Our host was full of jokes and one liners! Highly recommend Ravenswood Inn Bed and Breakfast and if we are back in the area, we will definitely be staying here!

My daughter and I were on a road trip from California, and we absolutely loved our stay in September at the Inn. The Inn is in a historic Ohio Valley house in the small town of Ravenswood, and has three guest rooms. We had the Captain's Quarters and the First Mate's Quarters (the other is the Crewman's Quarters). We wondered about the nautical theme in a landlocked state like WV, but the owners explained the property was once the home of a riverboat captain, and the Ohio River is just a few blocks away. It was immediately apparent that the owners take great pride in the property and in providing the highest level of hospitality. I tend to be on the lookout for cleanliness first, and this place is spotless - the floors, bathrooms, guest rooms, kitchen, public areas, and, even, the garden - nothing was overlooked in terms of maintenance and cleanliness. The beds were extremely comfortable (I was told the mattresses are locally made), the rooms quiet, and the breakfast was amazing (everything was fresh, and there was way more than we could finish). We sat out on the porch swing in the evening and greeted the locals walking by. The owners have deep roots in WV and the local area, and have many cool family stories about the house and ideas for things to do. They are warm and welcoming, but are also sensitive to giving guests space and privacy to relax and just hang out. We also discovered that Ravenswood is a lovely place to bike, walk, and explore. Most of the roads are fairly flat, quiet, and free of traffic. There is a nearby park along the river where there is often a Mexican food truck and local musicians jamming bluegrass and mountain tunes. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer, since we had to get up to WVU for a campus visit. However, we had such a great experience that we’re sure we’ll be visiting the Inn again soon.

We found this B&B at the last minute and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip. The area is peaceful. The Inn is beautiful, clean and full of interesting history. The bed is very comfortable. Good quality towels and sheets. The breakfast was amazing!. The apple butter is the best I've ever had. I also like that they provide many items from local sources for breakfast. The owners Steve and Sabrina were wonderful. Will definitely stay again.
