I think the staff at this airport get very bored and therefore way over do the security steps compared to other airports. In 40 years of flying I have never had every bag checked in and otherwise in our party opened, scanned, taken apart, every sweatshirt off, other clothing, really a bunch of completely unnecessary steps. The result is an annoying experience that minimizes the likelihood of return trips to Greenbriar hotel having to deal with harassment due to boredom of staff on a Monday morning in prep for United flight.

Very small , had to deplane across tarmack coming in from Dulles on United...not a biggie for me but could be if you were physically handicapped existing down steep steps - not sure how they handle that (?). Otherwise a very pleasant small experienceHi Maya! We are happy to you visited our area and flew into LWB! Our airport is always exploring ways to make the customers experience better.
