Justin and the Company do a wonderful job each time I bring my car in for service. They will not do any repairs or upgrades which are not absolutely necessary. Two items I mentioned to Justin which I had doubts about, he explained that those parts didn’t need to be replaced. This saved me approximately $1,800 dollars today. This is by far the most honest repair dealership I have dealt with since my first automobile purchase in 1963.

I have been taking my Honda's to A+Japanese for more than 12 years. They have always serviced the car very well, always detail oriented, informing me of all repairs to be done before they start on it. There is no pressure, and after I get my car back, I have always been satisfied with the work done. I recommend them highly.

A+ Japanese Auto is the best. All of the workers there have been wonderful! They were able to get my car in for an emergent fix within the same day. Turns out I had a whole pile of issues that needed to be fixed. Ace was my main mechanic and he was awesome. He kept it real with what needed to be done, all the while educating me on how to keep my car in better shape for the future and increasing its longevity. You can really tell that safety is their #1 priority and that is the main reason why I trust their work! From their super friendly front desk, to their appointment availability, to the transparency of their work— they’re the best. They may be a little pricey but you’re paying to increase the life of your car and a overall your own safety while in it, which to me is priceless. It’s the little things that matter too: they washed my car & also did a quick vacuum of the interior while it was in shop (post dog beach sand all over, yuck!) and they even offer to loan you a car/Uber you where you need to go. As someone who knows nothing about cars I’m so glad to have found a shop that I can trust.

Took my car in for an oil change and a safety inspection. Got a nice 27 page inspection report with pictures. My service advisor, Ace, followed up with a phone call explaining what my car needs. We settled on doing the oil change, rear brakes, brake fluid and power steering fluid exchange and spark plugs. I received a call later that afternoon letting me know they had discovered an oil leak in the tube seals. I was told he was working on an estimate for that repair. I had to call in on Saturday to get the details of the estimate. The person I spoke to on Saturday never relayed the information to Ace that I wanted to proceed with the repair. I was called on Monday letting me know that the tube seals were on back order and that my power steering fluid was low, that was information I should have been given on day on day one. Now they have to find a power steering fluid leak. I instructed them to put the car back together and that I would deal with the unfinished repairs later. That was at 9 am. I called at 1 pm to see when my car would be ready for pick up. I was told that the technician was looking for the power steering leak. I said just put my car back together and I will deal with it later, for a second time. When I went to pick up the car it was missing a hubcap. I was told a replacement would be ordered so that hopefully I could pick it up before Wednesday. As of this evening, Ace has not called me back to let me know the status of the hubcap. Communication has been really bad, the repairs were overpriced and losing the hubcap was just irresponsible. The competency of the shop is questionable in my mind at this time and I won’t be returning. Update: Eric the owner called me this morning and spent a fair amount of time on the phone with me to better understand the issues with my repairs. After our conversation, he did offer me a partial refund on my repair bill. It is refreshing to see a business owner concerned about the right thing. The staff is still a little shaky but I think the owner will be addressing that and my upgraded rating is based solely on Eric’s actions today.

Hi Bryan! I believe Justin was able to reach out to you. But if you would like any further help, please let us know! Eric S. 650-595-2277
Thank you for asking Kahren. Jason will be back in tomorrow (Tuesday 7/2/19) at 7:30am and we can reach out to you Kahren - please send us your information or give us a call in the morning. A rough idea could be somewhere between $200 and $325 for resealing the engine oil pan assembly. Do you know if that is leaking? Or is it something from above leaking down onto the pan? - It might be worth inspecting if that is why you are asking about the price. All the best, Eric Sevim 650-703-0973 A+ Japanese Auto Repair, Inc. www.aplusjapaneseautorepair.com
Hi Bryan, What is the best number to call you? Many thanks, Eric S 650-946-1856
Not sure what they charge but I doubt they will be willing to use your own oil and filter since most shops make a good profit off that stuff
