I had a relatively new, seldom used washer. The washer would quit after wash and rise cycle before spinning to wring out extra water from clothes. The repairman came, turned on a device, turned few knobs and wrote down F7. After that he said it is probably shifter. I asked him how did he know. He said I don’t know for sure. Then he tipped over washer to the back, did something under washer and then said it is shifter. Then he told me that is $350+ . At that point, i said are you sure? Do you have parts? He said he was not sure and he did not have part. He had come late in evening and wanted to rush out. He told me repair is guaranteed for 90 days, so best to get new one. A paid him $109 for service and he left. When tried the washer again, now wash did nor come on. I texted him. He said I did not “remove or Tampere with any mechanical components”. He said turnoff for 2 minutes, and try. I hope Sears will either fix or give me a new washer.
