When we found that there was mold damage at our place of business, we didn’t know what we were going to do. We had a unique situation where we needed immediate help, and Nevo and his team delivered just that. Nevo was insightful and professional, and was able to get the mold out from our establishment in less than 24 hours. Highly recommend this company!!

Reactic Restoration did an outstanding job clearing out water damage from a failed sump pump issue we had. We've used them twice and both times the work was done professionally, on-time and with great communication. I have worked with many contractors over the years and the service provided by Daniel and team is the best I've seen. Honesty and integrity was displayed which is a hallmark of a good business. I highly recommend them.

Does homeowners insurance cover water damage?

Jane Womack | Aug 8, 2022

Most conventional house insurance policies typically cover water damage caused by a burst pipe or other water-related incidents inside your home. However, your policy will not cover water damage if it originates from anywhere else. A common cause of homeowner insurance claims is water damage, especially damage caused by freezing. A burst pipe is often covered, but a leaking bathroom sink will not consider as "sudden and accidental" as commonly recognized. Thus, flooding, such as storm surge damage during a hurricane, is not covered. Other homeowners’ insurance coverage is damage caused by the water used to put out a fire, such as a sprinkler system or the fire department's hose. Another best example is water damage caused by a leaking roof, whether due to a storm or a tree falling on your top.

How do you fix water-damaged walls?

Grace Torres | May 10, 2022

The four simple steps to fix water-damaged walls begin with identifying and repairing the cause. Large leaks are evident, while minor leaks might be tempting to ignore or minimize. For example, cutting a six-square-inch hole in your drywall near the water damage may frequently reveal a leaky pipe. Next, find any drywall out of plumb and replace it with a new piece. Before installing it, the insulation and studs behind the new drywall are completely dry. Also, remember to allow the inner wall to cure for a few days before installing the new drywall. Then the third, if the drywall is still structurally sound but plagued with mold, scrubbing the drywall will destroy the mold. Mold can kill using a diluted bleach solution that won't harm the drywall. Finally, should cover the water stains by scraping off any loose or peeling paint with a paint scraper. Then, when the drywall surface is clear of defects, you can prime and paint it.

Water damage can be felt gradually or immediately. Certain individuals can experience negative effects from the incident. That is why It is important to remember that the effects are different for different people. If the situation is severe, you should evacuate immediately. Since a home that is flooded can expose you to various health and electrical hazards, you should also evacuate. Although it is fine to stay at home when the damage is not severe, it is still important to contact the experts when dealing with water damage. Even though the issue may seem minor, it can still turn into a severe one.
