Attended a private holiday party at the club house - services, environment, beverages, food, and the party itself was amazing. We had a rowdy group but the staff attending to us was amazing and kept up great. Growing up in the Prairie Village/ Mission Hills area I've always had some class envy for the Lake Quivira types, but maybe now that I'm a real adult with good credit and savings I can someday get into there before I retire or expire.

Do not sign a membership agreement with Lake Quivira! We were sold on the fact that we would receive certain membership benefits and dues would not increase due to the opening of the athletic facility. Our dues increased in the first six months of our membership by a substantial amount to pay for the facility that opened over 8 months later than we were initially told. Our small initiation fee was waived and when we asked about dropping (and paying back our initiation fee) because our membership benefits we understood we were getting weren’t met, they didn’t care. We are stuck with paying the rest of our membership when we didn’t get at all what we were sold.

Our high school class held our 50th Reunion here and it was the best reunion we've ever had! Our LQ event planner did a great job and the staff was incredibly helpful hanging signs, making sure the tables looked beautiful, and setting everything out that we brought. We were incredibly pleased with everything they did for us.

Its a nice place to visit. A lovely golf course, and a nice beach. Tennis courts and a basketball court. Lots of things to do in the warmer months.
