Shawnee Gardens is a great place and has a team of wonderful staff that genuinely care for the residents. From the admin staff to the nursing department, everyone is great. There are numerous activities each day and quality resident care for each person. Each day the staff try to make a difference in the lives of many. They also have a strong team of therapy staff that work hard to reach resident goals. The dietary team prepares good, hot meals for the residents each day. I would recommend Shawnee Gardens for your family member and medical LTC needs.

Current employee here. I have only worked here for a month or so, but it is still the best facility I’ve ever worked at. I work in the activities department and was so excited to see how much my department does for the residents. We offer a large range of activities and are always taking resident suggestions to make sure everyone has activities they enjoy. I love this facility, and all the people in it.

My mom had good experience at Shawnee Gardens. She has progressed dementia and her health had suffered from severe over medication at another care home. In her four months at Shawnee Gardens, she regained her appetite, gained weight, reestablished her ability to walk and even made friends (this was far beyond our expectations and even our hopes.) The staff made sure she was looked after down to little details- the nurses are kind, the cna and cma's took great care, even the food staff gave mom special attention. It isn't a perfect place, but the people here gave my mom another chance at life and I will always be grateful to them.

DO NOT put your loved ones in this facility! You will regret it! My grandmother would have lived longer if it wasn't for the careless workers here. She only lived here for FOUR months. FOUR months! In the last month of her life at this place there was an incident. We still do not know the true story, as we've heard multiple different stories by the workers here. She very quickly went downhill, and sadly passed away. Find a different place and do your research. Visit several times before deciding and visit unexpectedly. Please DO NOT trust this place with your loved ones!!
