Reserved a shelter for a baby shower and it was perfect! Easy access for the handicap, private and clean. 10/10 would host an event here again. The staff were friendly and our reserved spot was clearly marked and included instructions.

Can park for free at Little Platte South and walk to the beach area, or park at the beach area and play disc golf or hike 5 miles round trip to see some great lake views.

Great for 4th of July to see the fireworks. Only costs $5 per vehicle, unless you have a boat, then of course its more. Would be a really nice park, but it has issues that need to be addressed. 1st, not a lot of shade. You better get there early to get shade and a table. They need more grills also. 2nd, the swim beach sucks. Muddy and rocky, when you get further out past the booyes there is some trash on the floor of the lake, beer can cans, plastic, even found a nasty muddy shirt. 3rd, would be nice if they opened the gate so you can drop off your stuff at your site. Then you can go and park in the parking lot. 4th, maybe put in some sheltered tables with grills. 5th, how about stocking the lake with fish. Its a lake near a densely populated area. This lake has been overfished for years. 6th, there is a water shower to clean the sand off, but it doesnt work. There is a faucet station by the bathrooms. Difficult to clean your feet when you standing in mud.
