We were refused service due to my daughter, aged 9 years old, not wearing a mask, despite having an exemption, which I stated. They directed us to go to customer service to get a mask for her. I was wearing a mask, but again, my daughter has a legitimate exemption. The store was not busy and we were going to maintain six feet distance from others (though there were three or four employees congregated around the cash register NOT six feet apart). We went across the hall to the Crayola store where they did not question me about my daughter and she was able to purchase a gift there. I’ve attached copies of the mayors order that allows exemptions. This business did not abide by the orders.

My daughter hadn't been feeling great on our trip. Finally, in the late afternoon, she was feeling well enough to go visit this toy store. We made it there 10 minutes to close, enough time to find a treasure. She was in awe as she walked in, the wad of money she had been saving from her allowance clutch in her hand. The clerks (one seemed like the owner) didn't greet us. They simply gazed at us with blank stares. As my daughter went down an aisle ahead of us, the younger of the clerks went to the back of the store and turned out all the showroom lights leaving us in the dark. It frightened my 7 year old girl and she came running back worried she did something wrong. Looked at my watch while consoling my child. Yep, 8 minutes to close. Still nothing from the silent store keeps. No can-I-help-you-finds or sorry-closing-in-fives. Nothing. My wife and I gathered our sad little one and quietly left. It's pretty clear that this store isn't here for the kids. It's here to price gouge tourists there for Legoland and the like. Yeah, there are reviews that they are friendly and helpful. I pretty sure they are, if you look like they do. If you don't, well, lights out.

I absolutely love the selection that this store Has. I love that there are new versions of vintage toys and they seem to be on trend. The only thing that I would change about this store is the prices, $25 dollars for a finger size figurine is beyond ridiculous and $30 tor a small stuffed animal is also ridiculous all the prices in this store are way over priced I love to walk around and look at the merchandise but I will never actually purchase anything because of the prices.
