No power and high rates no ETA they said give them another day. I will let my small children know the power company needs more time and that's why we're cold with no heat and no power.

They really don't work with you if you were short a payment by $4 she even said idc if its 4 cents. Shame on her she needs to re think her choice of words with customers and they are liars they don't send you updates and they wonder why sometimes those payments are off because they are incompetent and rude. They need a course in customer service.

We have been Westar Energy customers for years and always paid our bill on time. Recently we moved and no longer need their services. Our final bill was so high that at first I thought there had been some mistake. I called their customer service and told them I am unemployed at this time and ask if there was a payment plan for someone like me in this situation. The lady asked me, "What can you pay?" Being unemployed I couldn't think of a figure right off so I said "what will you take?" She then again said, "What can you pay?" so I gave her the amt. I thought I could pay. I asked her again if they could work with me on payments due to my current situation like a payment program and she said they didn't have anything like that. Her tone of voice began to change like she was a little short and snippy with me like in a condescending way. So finally she said, "extension" and I said, "so their is something that can be done. Long story short, she extended the time frame to the end of the month. So disappointed. Maybe I can pull a rabbit out of a hat by then too! I give this review NO STARS, however, I guess one star should be considered so that I can post this review.

Westar is usually pretty good about keeping limbs trimmed that could be a potential problem. I'm not sure how long that takes to get that done thou.
