Nice off the grid camp ground. Parking pads and fire rings (when in season) Nice concrete picnic tables in flat areas. The bathroom wasn't kept well when I was there, but hey... You're in the woods, dog a hole.

Campground is nice if small. There is water at most if not all sites. The bathrooms are basically portypottys and have no lights in the building so bring a headlamp. The sites are good sized. I did not see a bear warning until the trail so make sure you have a bear bag or something since there are no bear boxes.

Stayed here first week in October. Nights were cold but days were gorgeous!! We stayed in the week and the campsites were empty. Bathrooms are vault but surprisingly clean. We stayed in #21 and could smell the faint smell of the bathrooms once in awhile and bees were everywhere which was more annoying then anything.

Lake Fulmor, approx 4 mi farther north on 243, and Lake Hemet, a few miles east of Mountain Center on hwy 74, both offer fishing. Keep in mind that both of these areas are fee-based USFS recreation sites and require a valid recreation pass... Lake Hemet also has the private campground & day- use area offering a multitude of amenities, including boat rentals and marina/ ramp, as well as the only swimming area on the lake. Boats are allowed on Lake Fulmor but are restricted to non- gasoline powered (e.g. kayaks, canoes, electric powered motor boats, etc.) Additionally, a CA state fishing license is required for anyone 16+ that wants to fish.
Yes, there are 5 spigots located throughout the campground. The water comes from a well high up on Marion Mtn and is tested regularly for quality.
