You will find that the level of care with Dr Spayde is very good. The problem is the women in the front office. You will likely notice this when you first call to make an appointment. Rude and abrupt behavior is putting it lightly. Wait times in that office are not fun. I guess you have to decide what you want to do... and what you are willing to put up with. Great doctors that have a great office staff seems to be a rare commodity these days.

Suffering with extrem back pain for the last 6years and after visiting the best neurosurgeons in Souther California I decided to go with Dr. Eric Spayde. My back was in the worst posible shape and I was so limited in my activities… This year At the end of June I went to see Dr Spayde and he scheduled me for surgery. He said to me it will a mayor surgery..and it was. Three month later i can be on my feet all the time that I want with no more pain. Recovery was as expected and I had the support of every one on his team. Jonathan , Dr Spayde PA was always a phone call away. I’m so happy of the choice I made Thank you Dr Eric Spayde and your team. I’m very grateful 🙏🙏

I will be forever indebted to Dr. Spayde and all the wonderful staff at his practice for the magnificent work they performed, a true team effort! I was suffering from a severely herniated L4/L5 disc which was causing excruciating pain through my lower back all the way down my left leg. The pain was so bad I couldn't stand or walk for more than two to three minutes at a time. Prior to consulting with with Dr. Spayde I had tried physical therapy, oral steroids, and epidural injections all without any effect whatsoever. It has now been six months since Dr. Spayde performed a micro-discectomy to remove the herniation and I have my life back! I am an active hiker and exercise regularly and rejoice each day that I can be involved with those activities. Many, many thanks to all the great folks at the St. Charles Spine Institute!!!

Last year Dr. Spayde with the assistance of Dr. Rice performed bilateral fusion to eliminate severe sciatica caused by significant deterioration of my disks and exacerbated by scoliosis of my upper spine. My most recent visit to St. Charles Spine Institute was to have Dr. Dirkx perform an epidural into my S.I. Joint to relieve the joint pain in my hips. The procedure went quickly and relieved about 80% of my pain. I always experience the doctors and staff to be very professional and courteous, everyone is extremely friendly and “down to earth”, and I always feel like I’m getting the best of care. In my opinion I think that Dr. Spayde and the other doctors and staff at St. Charles are some of the best in the country and I would not hesitate to give them the highest recommendation.
