Great breakfast sandwiches, coffees and a really cute environment. They also sell really cute merchandise like stickers, cards, magnets, cups and tote bags. Even though I’m not a part of the community, I consider myself an ally and I love the fact that it’s LGBTQ+ friendly.

I went into the Bakist on Father’s Day to get a muffin to go with my coffee. I ordered their “sunrise muffin” which the person behind the counter said was loaded with raisins, shredded carrots, nuts, etc. Sounded great. But it was a great mistake. I’ve been having these muffins at a variety of coffee shops for years and expected something moist, tasty, and a perfect companion to my coffee. Not to be. It was dry, without any real flavor, and I ended up picking through it to find something edible. I probably threw away 75% of the muffin. Prior to submitting these comments I noted I was not the only one with similar comments, ranging from 23 hours to 8 months ago. You would think a bakery could make a moist, tasteful muffin. Would highly recommend they change their recipe for their muffins.

Perfect place for coffee, pastries, muffins, and a light breakfast. Everything I have eaten is good. However, my favorite is the breakfast wrap. The staff is very friendly and nice. If you're visiting North Beach or walking the boardwalk, just drop in, you won't be disappointed.

Best bakery around! All the food is phenomenal, the coffee , sandwiches and delicious homemade baked goods. We are so lucky to have this dynamite bakery in Calvert. The baked goods are unmatched!
