My daughter has been training here for almost a year now. Her confidence has grown so much and I am confident if, need be, she will be able to defend herself. I remember the look on her face on her first day, yes she was scared. Yes she was thrown into a "sink or swim" scenario, however at the end of class she was all smiles. She has learned so much. She has grown so much. This is perhaps one of the best decicions my husband and I have made for her. She is in good hands with the Alonsos and I am honored to be part of CGT family.

If you want a caring, but firm instructor who cares about their students this is definitely the place for you or your kids. 3 of my 4 kids train here. When we started in August all 3 were in the teen class. With in a month, the coach suggested that my youngest (while old enough for the teen class) would be better suited to the kids class. She is smaller than her 12 years and has low confidence. The coach cares about the kids and works to build their confidence even as he is tough on them and expects them to work hard and do their best. When my oldest was refusing to eat correctly and I informed him that was why she kept missing classes, he spoke to her and told her she needed to eat anything her parents told her to eat. Him telling her helped get her to listen and eat and she has been successful at attending classes and having no pain (because she is putting on the weight she needs to work out). I could not ask for a more caring, but firm place for my kids to learn Jiu Jitsu and how to defend themselves. And my child with low confidence, she has confidence and made friends and is sure of herself. I am so very proud of her. And all the working out has helped my son with his ADHD to focus and do better in school. If you want a caring, but firm instructor who cares about their students this is definitely the place for you or your kids.

My son (10 years old) has been training here for a year and a half. At first I was nervous but after his first week trial he was hooked and I knew he was in good hands. He was dealing with bullying at school and Coach Orlando has given him all the tools he needs to defend himself, starting with confidence. My daughter (8 years old) has just started training and really enjoys it as well. There is a great sense of family at CG Menifee and we are so proud to be apart of it!

If you want to traumatize your children instead of teaching them a little self-defense then this is the place to go. As soon as they get new beginners into the class they just throw them into the wolves and don’t even teach them how to defend themselves. There was lots of kids crying and bleeding and they don’t even know what to do yet and they are expected to grapple defend themselves as soon as they enter the class. The instructors need a better lesson plan than just hurting the kids first before teaching them what to do. Do not go to this place there are way better instructors than this one.
