Nearly one year ago I was referred here for diagnosis and treatment of insomnia and severe migraines. The migraine medicine was too dangerous for me to continue taking. After a several month process I finally qualified for Botox injections. What a life changing experience it has been. Sheila is incredibly experienced with the administration of the medication and completes it literally in two minutes while I barely feel it. At three months I am pretty much migraine free and got my life back, no longer losing weeks at a time wasted on headaches. I also got my insomnia under control for the first time in decades. Find a different neurologist. About a year ago i started getting the most intense migraines of my life. I had a neck injury and my migraines were just getting worse and worse. I mentioned the neck injury to Dr. Rai but he just threw migraine medication after medication at me. They gave me nightmares and made my migraines twice as bad. About a year later I saw a different doctor who looked into my neck and discovered i had a different kind of migraine. Within a few days I was seeing actual relief with PT and zero medication. The person who referred me to Dr Rai also found a new neurologist because she said he would not sign her paperwork for student assistance. This guy has never been sick and hates his job. Find a neurologist who actually cares. The new doctor I saw was a bit suprised when he saw that Dr. Rai never perscribed me anything to treat an active migraine.

My husband has Huntington's disease. The dr is ok but there is a major lack of communication and his medicine is inconsistent when prescribed and the nurses sound agitated half the time. There is a lack of concern for his terminal condition in my opinion. I've never called a drs office to voice my concerns like I have with this office.
