Went there looking for a birthday cake for my grandson and they are not so interested in what you want they're more interested in what they have so ballistics another place sent us there and it turned out that if you bring a picture they'll make that picture on your cake the edible type and that's about it for their birthday cakes and they're expensive so be prepared to pay for what you get and I had a cannoli and it just didn't have that taste and it tasted like it been sitting in that cooler for a couple days everybody has a choice New Jersey

Absolutely love this bakery! My sister and I get our birthday cakes there for each other every year. We get a Cannoli cake every time. The BEST!

I only share reviews when I have a really good experience or really good food and la scala hits both those marks!! Came here by chance the first time and was greeted by a lovely lady and her son who run the place. As Italian as it gets, we bought 4 big sandwiches for a good price and were given some cookies as well. All sandwiches were delicious and on fresh bread that was the best in the area (turns out they get it from system island). It was so good that I took my Italian father and he gave it his stamp of approval as well. I promise you’ll go here for the authentic food and prices, but you’ll keep coming back for the staff and personalities at the store!! I can’t recommend enough if you are looking for a great deli in Toms River!

They seem to have alot of different items. They even have Napoleons that gave real custard (not the white icing). Most bakeries don't even have them. It was delicious 😀 I also got a Eclair; equally taste budlicious😀😀 I would have liked to sample everything😄😄 It all looked so inviting and quite well displayed.
