I love the whole team at The Pointe Shop! I was fitted by Josephine last year and have an appointment coming up with Melissa. They know shoes and feet better than anyone I have worked with before. I have a bad foot that has always caused me issues and I have gained more general pointe shoe knowledge through the Pointe Shop then in all my years dancing.

Josephine was kind, quick, professional and wasted absolutely no time. We went over ALL my failed pointe shoes, why they were duds, and what I had done to modify them. We went over my biggest issues and what I could do to improve the way the shoes fit. She gave me great tips and was realistic about expectations, but never made me feel bad for not being perfect. Finally, she decided on one shoe that I had never tried, no hesitation whatsoever and that was it. It took about 6 weeks for my order to ship out, since the shoes I was fitted in were out of stock and needed to be made. Once they were out to be shipped it took approximately 4 days to be at my doorstep. When my shoes arrived I was ecstatic, but still remained skeptical because I had never found a good fit. I was determined to give up if this shoe didn’t work out either. However, as soon as they were on I could not believe how perfect they felt! Finally, the “fitting like a glove” feeling happened for me! I can push over my box, I have much better alignment, no big toe pain, the shank wasn’t twisting, I felt supported, there was no gapping, etc. I’m still sooo shocked that she was able to fit me virtually and only needed one shoe, without any hesitation. She really is the pointe shoe fairy godmother! Thank you, Josephine and all staff at The Pointe Shop, for making ballet accessible to everyone!

Josephine needs to be credited for taking the pointe shoe fitting experience to a whole new level. I can't imagine trying a new style pointe shoe without her expert fitting, especially with my shallow and rather ugly feet. She and her team are very experienced, so it's hard to have anything but positive things to say. My fitting was toward the end of the day last fall, but through the long, hard day, she still gave my the wonderful experience I expected. Plus, I felt well informed because after watching her youtube videos, I felt we could easily communicate about my needs and what she could offer. Thank you Pointe Shop! Keep doing what you're doing!

The Pointe Shop did not disappoint! Melissa was prepared from the info we gave her when we booked online! She taught us so much about real/correct pointe shoe fitting! My girls are now properly fitted and I am sure will be dancing amazing soon. Thank you again Melissa! Best experience EVER!

No, I don't think so. You'll have to call ahead, It's not a typical showroom.
Hello! Yes, we do carry a wide range of sizes & styles that do fit boys & men.
Hi there! that depends on a case to case basis. If she has clearance from a doctor and teacher, we would be able to help her :)
Hi! This is Jazley, Inventory Specialist for ThePointeShop. We only carry pointe shoes, so we do not carry any leather flat sole shoes. Our sister store, Dancer's Choice, in Aliso Viejo does. Ask for Grace :)
It depends on training and the school you are taking classes at. Age can play a factor, but it's more important that you are strong and flexible enough to support your body weight, among several other things.
Shoes typically range from $80-$130, depending on the brand. If you get fit and do not purchase shoes, there is a $35 fitting fee. Otherwise, the fitting fee is waived upon purchase of shoes.
The fitting fee is $35, but is waived upon purchase of shoes. -Jazley, Inventory Specialist at ThePointeShop.
