I didn't like this place! No case workers to help with your fmla and short term disability. I only got to see my therapist once in 3 weeks! They didn't drug test so people was smoking weed and using it was just a bad experience 4 me there I had to leave it and go somewhere else

Went to Michael’s house two times- not good! Horrible rooms, beds like cardboard, shine lights in your room every 30 minutes throughout the night for whatever reason, then wake you at 6:00 by pounding on the door and yelling that it’s time for a 6:30 meeting. I was exhausted and couldn’t wait to go home. They (( and by that I mean three separate people) tried to get me to stay longer even tho I was paying out of pocket. Bad experience!

Michales House has saved my life!! Each and every staff member was a huge support system for me!! Because of them I was able to make better decisions on what’s best for my recovery first and foremost, BEFORE anything else in my life! In the past I would always do things my way and it never went well! This time I listened to all the suggestions they gave me and walked through FEAR! Made a decision relocated to Palm Springs and the Sober community is AMAZING!!! I highly recommend MICHAELS HOUSE!

Hi Jerry, thank you for your question. Our recommended length of stay is 30 days, but that can fluctuate depending on each patient's individual needs. Due to federal and state HIPPA regulations and restrictions regarding confidentiality, phones are not allowed on the units. However, they may be accessed by patients with staff assistance during treatment. We also provide phones for use in contacting families. One of the benefits of having the phone restriction is so that patients can focus on their recovery and not on whatever is happening elsewhere as we want patients to be Present in the Now.
