This is a response to Nicholas Kaminskis Post since I was there that day. We entered the store and your worker Stated since we did not have masks on She would not be Serving us. She not once said you guys can go across the street and get a mask even though she had more than enough chance to suggest it. When we left the store, the other staff member even walked outside as we were walking outside and watch us go to the car. He could have suggested it then too. Instead they just made us feel unwelcome. If anything about someone being immunocompromised, or that masks were available across the street, or that masks are usually available but that we ran out were mentioned, we would have happily stayed and made the purchase. None of that was said. There was plenty of time during the exchange for it to be said So we left.

Was asked to leave the store in June 2022 for not wearing a mask? I can only imagine they apply similar short sighted ignorance to other business decisions. Check it out if you want. At a quick glance it was mostly a YuGiOh store with other card games and only very limited video games for sale. Luckily NJ has plenty of other options.

Had an absolutely great experience here! I was able to get a brand new Nintendo Switch today 12/2/21, the week after Black Friday and with the holidays coming up. All of the other major retailers in the entire state of NJ were all sold out, and after driving around for hours to different places, calling the major retailers, being put on hold multiple times, and being told that the Nintendo Switches were sold out everywhere within a 200+ mile radius, I decided to try my luck by giving Side Scrollers in East Rutherford a call after Googling “Video Game Store Near Me”, and thankfully they had it! So I rushed over as quickly as I could and left a happy customer! This is why it’s super important to support LOCAL! Especially in this day and age with everything going on over the last year and a half. They’re store is very clean, the staff are very friendly, and I had the pleasure of meeting with the owner who was super cool and down to earth. I’m definitely going to be go back here in the future and to whomever is reading this, I’d highly recommend supporting this business!
