BEWARE OF THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!! My husband brought my 2017 Tahoe in 2 weeks ago because the AC was not blowing cold. We thought it probably just needed some Freon. My husband received a call from our service writer, Jesse, informing him that we needed to replace the condenser and that it would be $4,800.00 to do so. My husband sold GM parts previously and is very familiar with GM vehicles so he immediately questioned why the price was so high (the part should only be a few hundred dollars). Jesse told him that it's a very labor intensive repair to which my husband replied, "WHAT are you talking about? It's right there behind the grill & easily accessible!" My husband also knows that GM allows 4 hours to replace a condenser. My husband immediately started researching a condenser and found out that GM has a known problem with their condensers (so much so that they put out an extended warranty on the condensers - 5 years or 60k miles). He asked Jesse if we would qualify for this to be taken care of under warranty. Jesse then told us that it wasn't the condenser that we needed replaced and that it was the evaporator. He said he misspoke when he said the condenser because it is actually the evaporator. After my husband's sticker shock from the price, Jesse agreed to do the repair for $3,875.00. My husband still was not happy with the possibility of spending almost $4k on an AC repair so he started calling around to other shops. He spoke to a couple of places that asked him if he was actually sure that it was the evaporator??? They told him that they replace the condensers all day long in these vehicles but they have never seen an evaporator that needed to be replaced. This is a 20 hour job that involves taking apart the dashboard, the center console & removing the top part of the engine to get access to the evaporator. Here's a picture of my condenser (before it was removed) and you can see on the right side where the Freon has been leaking from. How could we see this but Schumacher couldn't??? We purchased the condenser from Auto Zone for about $250.00 and the special Freon that my truck takes as well. All in all, we spent less than $450.00 on the parts. My friend helped my husband replace the condenser in about 3 hours time & my AC is now working better than it did when it was brand new! And thankfully we still have an additional $3,500.00 in OUR bank account! We were either given an incorrect diagnosis or we were intentionally being ripped off! Either way, it's not acceptable!!! I will not ever bring any of my 3 GM vehicles back to this dealership. I will drive farther to avoid this place! (Side note - all dealerships do not have the same labor rates. My husband asked Jesse what their labor rate is & he was told $200.00/hour. Marrone Chevrolet charges $169.00/hour for labor.) Jesse has taken good care of us in the past but after this last experience we will not be returning. Shame on you, Schumacher!!!

Went with my mom on Sunday who was looking for either a Yukon Denali or a High Country Tahoe. Don helped us out immensely as he broke down and explained all of the features of the cars. Long story short, he was able to get us a High Country two days after our visit and we are absolutely thrilled. Very happy with the service here.

I walked into this dealership after having been to maybe 4 others, instantly was greeted and was directed to sales to Mr. Perry Payne. We were able to find something I wanted and liked, signed and were out same day within maybe 2 hours. Mr. Perry found me something even though I was picky. Smooth transition to my new whip. He is honestly the best if you walk in ask for Perry, he is awesome. Well mannered, answered all my questions, he made me feel comfortable with what I was buying. I was not rushed and wasn’t sold something I didn’t want. I came in and told him what I wanted and he did just that. I love my new suv. It’s totally badass. No mom minivan he hooked me up. I love it. Thank you guys in finance too and you guys are awesome! Definitely go see Schumacher Northlake and ask for Perry, he won’t disappoint! Definitely will go back to him.
