Man at the counter was extremely helpful. The only big negative is that since this was a different car than I usually drive I did not see any manual on certain things like parking breaks, lights, etc. I had to use google to "fill me in." It would be nice to have a manual for reference. On the dashboard notifications kept popping up saying the key battery needed replacement and car needed an oil change. Vehicle had a big scratch on the side so I took lots of pictures before I got in to prove I was not responsible. Outside workers sprayed the dirt off the front . Car might have been recently returned and not had time for thorough washing. I picked it up in late afternoon. Avis workers were all very nice and location of the business was perfect for me.

Horrible experience. Worst customer service ever. Nasty employees. I brought the car back the day after renting it. There were crumbs in the cup holder, flowers between the seats, and smears in the inside of the window. The person in charge told me that the car had been cleaned, he saw the employees do it. The car wash guys told me that they cleaned it. Further they said that " this is not a car wash, if you want it cleaned; there's car washes up and down Federal Highway." They said that it was clean after I told them specifically that I didn't eat or have flowers in the car. I asked them if they were calling me a liar. Then to they had the audacity to say "have a nice day." I rented from Sixt for three weeks prior to this rental. I switched to Avis because it was cheaper. The saying that you get what you pay for is true. They don't even have tinted windows in South Florida. Car rentals are not apples to apples. I learned this the hard way. From now I Sixt has my business when I'm in South Florida.

Overall experience was poor. My rental was scheduled for pickup on May first, but at the time of arrival I was informed it wasn’t there and was sent to two more locations because staff assured me it was at those locations. Come to find out, there was no passenger van around for pick up. After canceling my trip for 24 hours, and multiple attempts made to contact customer service later, I was told to arrive at the West Palm location for an 8am pickup. Prior to ending the phone call, I was guaranteed it was already there. No surprise at 8 am there was no van located at this location either. Thankfully the manager at the west palm location was able to help me track a rental down at the Boca location. No adjust of cost was made after more than 24 hours of set backs and 5 hours of person travel in order to pick up the rental.

I decided to get a car for one day. So I got a last minute call to check if anything available. The guy gave me a good price and very quickly service. So in one hour I was able to pick the car and enjoy the ride. The deal was very affordable.
