Had a nurse there ask me to pray with her. I simply said I don't believe in god. She got angry said she felt sorry for me and stormed out of the room. She was completely unhinged. The rest of my experience there wasn't ant better.

Was there several times when I was 12. Staff was amazing and between the groups and schooling I was cared for well. Vista del Mar was family ro me. Far better than the group games up there.

In the year of 1998 and 1999 Sarah Lewy was in her teenage at age 15 or 16 she was grounded from my mother and father for seeing that Erik guy that she wasn’t supposed to do and I had no choice but to tell my mother about what happened and then she’s confronted to my dad and then he chewed her out with his temper and her life was ruling and so they decided to take her to Vista Del Mar hospital for psychiatric help for some treatment about her problems and trying to steal one of my dads drugs pills from his work bag and he was very happy about this when he was alive

My daughter was sent to this hospital on a psychiatric hold. We have been through over a dozen psychiatric hospitals in the Los Angeles area but this was the best by far and it’s in Ventura. The staff communicated effectively and I was able to call and speak to someone if I questions. I was able to speak to my daughter without any hesitations. This the first facility where my daughter did not experience physical fights by other kids and she was always kept busy with the schedule. My daughter actually enjoyed being here and felt like the staff were helpful and friendly to all other children and her. Any medication changes were communicated effectively. As a parent I don’t trust reviews for hospitals like this because many of the patients go online and post bad reviews because they aren’t okay but I would recommend this place.

I have a son who is in need of detox from alcohol. Do you take medi-cal insurance? If not, do you know who does besides an emergency room?
