We moved my 85-year-old mom here 5 days ago. She went kicking and screaming the whole time, saying she did not want to leave her house. I made her promise me that she would at least give it a try and keep an open mind. She said she would give it two weeks just to shut me up but made me promise she could go back home after giving it a try. We are now 5 days in and today she said she loves it at Atria and wants to stay. She said that after getting so used to all the friendly residents and staff, she would be so lonely going back to her house. She said the food is wonderful and everyone is so nice. The staff is great and soooo accommodating! Brian Larios, the executive director, helped make the transition for mom so easy. Every resident we have spoken with says they love it there. The bad reviews that you see from a year ago about the staff being bad is not at all what the residents say. They say those reviews were written by a disgruntled employee who was fired and is trying to get even. Our experience is that the staff could not be any nicer. Anything you ask for, the response from the staff is, "sure, no problem". I wish we had moved mom in a long time ago.

My step father passed away last September. My 94 year old mother and he, married 51 years, had lived in the Las Vegas area for nearly 30 years. After interviewing several assisted living facilities, I brought my mom down to Atria Grand Oaks. We were met there by the head of sales, Jill Waters. Miss Waters turned an extremely difficult time in our lives into the best possible experience. She was not only very knowledgeable about the facility and what it offered, but Miss Waters was pleasant, not pushy at all, and most importantly, caring. She made both my mother and myself not only comfortable, but secure in the fact we were doing the right thing by choosing Atria grand Oaks. Now, several months later, we know that we could not have made a better choice. My mom loves her apartment, and the 3 meals (plus goodies) a day that are brought to her door. She can't stop talking about how much she loves the staff. Every single one always greets her with a smile on their face. It's obvious that it's more than just a job to the employees at Atria Grand Oaks, they genuinely care about the people living there and their welfare. I was concerned that my mother wouldn't meet any new friends once she arrived. I could not have been more wrong. Particularly with the Covid-19 pandemic being such that it is. Mom has met a lot of the residents living there and has developed a number of lasting friendships. In all, I recommend Atria Grand Oaks to my highest standard. I don't often write reviews about anything, but I felt strongly about writing this one. If you are looking for a loving, truly caring facility to have a parent or loved one live nearby, you must check out Atria Grand Oaks and Miss Jill Waters. Go look at the other facilities in the area, then come home to Atria Grand Oaks. Sincerely Mr. Shelley Jensen

My mother was in need of a place to live after she had a fall , we had very little time to get everything together and we were very overwhelmed. My. husband and I were so happy to have found atria. They made the move so seamless and as stress free as possible. They have gone above and beyond to make as pleasant as possible. Staff is friendly and actually care... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I have known some Atria residents that have stayed here for more than 5 years and their family loved it and had great memories and friends within the community. While they may have changed some Directors, current officers seem to be committed to provide best care for the residents. It's also a beautifully designed senior living facility in a nice Thousand Oaks community. I know they have their resident council officers that contribute to keeping the facility a good place to retire and meet friends.
