Banker kept winking at me while advising me on how to manage my account. Is this a standard business practice? Made me uncomfortable and unsure if I was being given accurate and complete information. Would prefer more open communication from my bank.

I was so excited to open a new account the energy was bad when she first saw me I said I would continue even though the energy was horrible said she could not help me open the account Chelsea Heins I did not look how you assumed I should’ve have looked I am totally offended when I heard the banker and his client speaking about the same type of account she said she couldn’t help me with . Happy new year’s to you any Chelsea Heins you’re horrible.

I have been a client at Chase Bank on Lake Street in Oak Park for as long as the bank has been Chase (previously First Chicago, Bank One). In the not too distant past this was a great branch but currently the advice I get on accounts is often contradictory. Bankers seldom have answers to questions regarding Wills and Trusts and conversations often end up like "bowls of spaghetti." Example: when I tried to secure POA Chase Deposit Forms I was told up front to go to "Kinkos." Then I was told my attorney had to draw up the forms. I rejected this answer and had to involve the branch manager to yield the deposit forms that did exist. Recently, I spent about an hour in the bank trying to get a straight answer on how to secure a POA for a Safety Deposit box. I find legal distinctions like "and/or" on a joint account is sometimes challenging for them. Today no one was at the reception desk, there were no benches or chairs on which to sit. So - a client with a cane sat in the empty reception chair and yielded the chair to me.. He left in utter disgust. Similarly, another client - a woman - read the riot act with a "banker" and told me this branch had given her wrong information. When I asked why there were no seats in the bank lobby I was told "to eliminate bacteria." Interestingly enough in the Private Client section there were two comfortable chairs. So I camped out in Private Client since I am a Private Client until a banker approached and is now in the process of checking with legal on my questions. Finally, I see no advantage to being a Private Client - if there are, I never experienced them. Shame on you Oak Park Chase. You are but a weak shadow of your former self. SAD.

I just spoke with a Moe Elturkey over the phone at this location, answered quickly (unlike other Chase branches in Oak Park) who helped me with a difficult issue I had in regards to a fraudulent charge. He helped me get set up with a new process to help me through the next few days while I wait for a new card, and was super sweet and helpful, A+++ customer service! Will always go to this location from now on! Thanks Moe, your branch is lucky to have you!
