I arrived sheepishly asking for a service - stretch a hat. What amiable, genuine, and KNOWLEDGE staff!! Great selection. Look forward to visiting again for a purchase. (Oh, and the stretching was perfect....)

This is THE place for a top of the line hat. This place has the feeling of old world classiness and top quality products. The owner is down to earth and more concerned that you have a great shopping experience than just selling hats. He took his time and showed me several hats, after a while we found the hat i wanted, without knowing that I wanted it! he was gracious and gave me a short tutorial on how i should care for my investment. Truly a great experience.

Flew in from Seattle and searched for the best hat shop in Manhattan. Was not disappointed, the entire staff welcomed us and created a truly unique and personalized experience. I found the perfect hat, and they made shipping it a breeze. Special thanks to Townsend, who helped us all throughout the visit, they were kind, extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Will return when I'm back in New York!

Established in 1991, J.J. Hat Center is one of the worlds most renowned hat shops. Coming here is truly a special experience. The staff are friendly and very professional. I would highly recommend coming to not only purchase hats but to repair, refurbish, and clean hats as well. It’s important to say that J.J. Hat Center is a proper hat shop. Not a cheap baseball hat store. The quality is of the products are top notch and this store is the real deal. My father has cancer and was never a fan of hats. As his hair started to fall out from chemo, taking him here made him fall in love for a variety of reasons. The experience itself was magical, the staff is so professional and courteous. He walked out with 3 hats and a positive outlook because of the customer service. I can’t say enough great things about this place! If you’re a hat lover, this place is for you! And if you aren’t, come for a visit with a positive outlook and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. The staff here is phenomenal with old school charm and service.

Give them a call.
No.They don’t and their service stinks at their New York store. The black salesman has no interest in customer services
They'll do this for no charge while you wait.
For everyone...
They should be able to help you out. I had a Bailey crushable fedora that shrank a bit and they stretched it up a size.
I don't know where is it man...
Not sure, but you could certainly call and ask. They have excellent customer service.
Most hats have both sizes in the hat. For exaply a tag will generally say 7 1/4 and have 58 for cm right underneath that size. Also check under the sweatband. Sometimes they put the sizes under there too
Probably sell, or can make them. Best contact them, "Commador".
You should pick up the phone and call the store. Queries here go to google map user's that are familiar with this location, not actual business owners or employees.
No. I believe the most modest felt hats they have are in the $175-$200 range.
Take any train to 33rd st
The website should have many of the hats and prices. But it's definitely worth a trip. Lots of stock hats and they do custom as well.
It is fifth avenue. Don't expect to park. Take the subway.
