How this place stays open and maintains a 4.4 on Maps shocks me. This has to be one of the worst places in PB area. I ordered the baked salmon bento with chicken teriyaki while my friend ordered salmon with sashimi. The salmon was bland, seasoned with literally only salt, no pepper, no sauce, nothing at all. It looked so pale as if it just received a failed surgery. The tuna sashimi was fishy and unfresh, perhaps straight out of the freezer. The chicken teriyaki was salty and tough, seemingly have been reheated several times. The shrimp tempura was coated like a breadstick, the batter is thicker than the shrimp itself, and why did you serve it with tartar sauce? This is supposed to be Japanese cuisine, not British Fish N Chips! Avoid this place at all costs, there are so many good choices around. Would never recommend, 1 out of 10.

I have to believe This is for desperate tourists. The food tastes and looks like it was made in a microwave .. I’ve had better sushi at a gas station. I’ve been in SD for 6 months and this is by far the worst food I’ve had since I’ve been here ..

No longer counter service, wait to be seated first then order. Excellent service. Good is just as good although the crew is now different.

Hadn't been back all during Covid, was previously a weekly or bi-weekly favorite for years...THIS was NOT THAT! I missed it terribly but IT'S NOT THE SAME & I won't be back...
