We arrived at 8:40 am and we were 5th in line. They opened promptly at 9 am and we were called to the window by 9:20 am. After presenting some identifying documentation we had our new license plate and registration and were out the door by 9:40 am. Fast & efficient. The staff is not very friendly though. MANAGEMENT SHOULD DEFINITELY ADDRESS STAFF COURTESY & HELPFULNESS !

Yesterday I had the worst experience ever when helping an 85 year old friend secure a handicap parking placard for the first time. In the past I have used the services at this location and past experiences were much better. Yesterday they board kept telling us there would be a 6 minute wait for the service but that status never changed over a 45-minute period. They have only 1 staff person who handles issuance of these placards and never once did they make an announcement that expected wait time would be longer than that appeared on the board. In the meantime, I had an 85 year old waiting in my car for almost an hour while taking him to various medical appointments. When I brought the wartime to the attention of staff, they were very dismissive and rude. In the future I think I'm going directly to the Broward County Tax Collector's Office. Last week I went to that office to help a friend transfer a title and found the tax collector staff to be very professional and prompt. I was in an out of their office in 20 minutes for a more complicated transaction.

This place makes up prices as they go along. I was told that my title transfer would be $447, and asked for a breakdown of the costs. They wouldn't write anything down or print out any statement of fees. The woman that was handling my transfer told me that a new standard plate is $300, but wouldn't give a breakdown of the rest. So I asked another employee. She told me that a new standard plate is $350, and the other $127 is fees. I informed the other employee that the first one told me $300 for the new plate, and she looked startled. They don't have these rates published anywhere, they lie and say that the State of Florida sets their rates. Just a horrible place. The employees that were working there today were either rude or just so dumb that it came off as rude. I honestly couldn't tell.

This has been my go to agency because it was close to my home. I have visited the office twice this year and there has been some major improvements. The management now is effective, professional, and most importantly kind. The atmosphere has changed and the staff is better and more equipped to handle the public. I would recommend this office and look forward to visiting again. Thank you!

Florida does not do 30 day tages, you would have to get a temp tag from a dealer.

About $425 I believe. It was the same as the Broward County tax collector's office in plantation.
