I am a graduate of the Hero program. This place is the best center in town. They truly care about you and will help you out. I am almost seven months sober due to the Stephen Center and I thought I could never do it in my life. If you need help, check them out!

Thanks to them I actually have my life back again. They helped me get into an apartment, helped me furnish it and paid for my first month's rent and security deposit. They're all wonderful and caring people here, and I have to put special emphasis on Miss Maggie, Ben and Robert. Truly fantastic people those 3.

I have never been inside the center and I assume they do a good job. Which is why I went there to drop off a pretty generous donation. I was a bit underwhelmed by the gratitude I received after donating about 50 coats that I could just as easily sold online. I didn't expect a gold star or a standing ovation. That's not why I did it. But i did expect a little more than a mumbled thank you.

Wish I could leave a better review but, they don't return phone calls or responded to emails I sent in multiple drug evaluations by different means Fax, Email, Etc. All I wanted was a confirmation that it was received it's been over a month and I still don't know if they got it. I was excited to hear about this treatment center and really wanted to go they don't make you shave your beard, don't make you stop smoking cigarettes or vape or whatever and it's very reasonably priced at $700 for the short term stay. Such a bummer I can't get a hold of anybody there or any answers even though I did everything I could on my end well I guess I could drive down there I'd hate to go all the way there just for a confirmation but sometimes in recover you got to do what you got to do

Most likely you would have to be a resident at the Stephen Center but call and talk to them anyway see what they can do they might be able to refer you to somebody that can help if they can't
If you've already done a phone intake you should have been given a time to arrive. Typically intakes are done before 4:00 p.m..
Not if they are at full capacity
Yes. We serve 3 meals a day, classes, etc.
It is recommended to call first at 402-731-0238 , however you can walk in and receive help as well.
8 am to 5 pm for the shelter part!
It offers programs. Usual stay is 30 days before you get housing however you can stay longer while they help you find housing. It's a little ways from the greyhound however you can hit a city bus to there. Yes there are chores and yes u can stay here during the day. Stephen center is the best shelter in Omaha. 3 shelters are Stephen center, open door mission, and Siena Francis. And they are rated in that order. Stephen center you do have to pass a drug test and breath test to get in. Its a dry clean shelter.
They can probably help you find work if you ask. Probably a case manager would be able to help or find suggestions for places to work at or to find work at.
The number of days can vary by your needs, and what you do with your time & if you are trying to get a job or assistance with housing and/or something else. You also would need to take a drug test and breathalyzer to be able to get into the Stephen Center, as it is a "Clean & sober living facility/organization".
English
You have to be clean and sober
You'd have to go to the center and see
Perhaps the Sienna Francis House....
Yes they do. You just either call or you can back up to the ramp and you'll see a garage door and I believe there is a doorbell. They can further assist you if you call and talk to them.
It's pretty flexible depending upon the job you want to do as a volunteer. Yes there are Saturday Sunday hours but there are also hours during the week that you could work as well. I highly recommend working there it's very fulfilling.
I believe to be homeless and in recovery
Need to call them and ask
Yes it's a wonderful sober place that has resources for the homeless as long as there clean and sober
Yes they are separate and the sleeping area for women is an open area , with a place for your personal stuff
You have to set an appointment for CD Eval
Yes they offer a wide variety of opportunities. You will also have a Heartland family Services representative to help you set up and make sure you have everything you need.
Multiple programs, diffrent lengths each. Depends what program your looking for. And no rent in the shelter side. Its a free homless shelter
Just call down and ask if there are any available beds, or a cot. Do a short phone interview. Bring him down with his stuff. But he needs to pass a breathalyzer and a drug test or they will send him away. And no sex offenders.
