Learned so much about the Cuban diaspora and the Peter (Pedro) Pan flights. Also, the documentary about the Cuban Freedom fighters involved in the "Bay of Pigs" known as Battalion 2506, was amazingly informative. Cuban Americans can be proud of the dignity these heros comported themselves. Great exhibit a must for all Freedom loving people!

My family members were not Pedro Pan (Father was a Balsero) but it was nice to see history and stories of those who lived to tell the tale of what happened those few years. The items are donated from Pedro Pan children so it allows you to get a sense of just how young they all were when they were forced to grow up.

An excellent concise museum, beautifully designed. This is our second exhibit, with the Celia Cruz being the first and will return again...have recommended the museum to various friends.

As far as I know, this exhibition of Cuban migrant children in the years 1961 and 1962, which began between Cuba and Miami and bears the name of Operación Pedro Pan, has had 3 exhibitions in the Miami area, the FREEDON TOWER History of Miami and the American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora , are currently preparing a future exhibition at Barry University. The name of this operation is PEDRO PAN and not Peter Pan.

Hello! As a fellow Pedro Pan, I am very interested in visiting this exhibit. Does it require reservations?? Also, how long will the exhibit be on? I want to make sure I don't miss it!

We made reservations, we wanted a guide to explain our story to our grandchildren. We are also Pedro Pan and they knew some of our stories. It was a great experience for all. Don't miss it!

I came to visit it on a Saturday (April 20) and no one answered the door nor the phone. I called numerous times to see why it was that they weren’t open but got nothing.

Hello, my name is Jose L Cortina. I reside in Miami. I have a set of the books "La Enciclopedia de Cuba, published in 1974 and I would like to donate it as long as it is used to instruct and publicize our History. Thank you

Hello Mr. José, unfortunately, books are not accepted. The Museum is dedicated to exhibitions of artists of the Cuban Diaspora. You are more than invited to go to our exhibition of Celia Cruz, which is very interesting. The hours are from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Sunday from 12:00 M to 4:30 PM

Does anyone man the phones? I even sent an email days ago and received zero response. Management should definitely entertain better phone service, i.e., automated recording stating days & times of operation and entrance fee.

Pass by there. There is a very beautiful and interesting exhibition about the life of Celia Cruz. Sundays open until 7pm

I wanted to go any day during the week but it is closed and opens only on Saturdays and Sundays. I can't believe that this happens in Miami where are so many Cubans and visitors that want go there. Please consider to open every day.

The museum is scheduled to be open 6 days a week after its grand opening in late October.
