I recently mailed a package and bought stamps at the Swansboro post office. The postal clerk was polite, courteous, and helpful. (The Shel Silverstein stamps of the Giving Tree bring back happy memories. )

Sandi at the Swansboro Post Office is as sarcastic, rude and unprofessional as you can get. When I asked for her name she hung up on me, she then hung up on me 3 additional times. I finally called from my sons cellphone at which time she answered so I got her name. My mistake was telling her I was filing a complaint so she had time to change the story of what happened around and blamed it on me. It was closed as a “misunderstanding”. There was no misunderstanding about the sarcasm and rudeness she used but she got away with it so will continue doing it I’m sure. It’s like they don’t even care.

This rating is exclusively based upon the service I received from Josh today, who helped me mail a time sensitive express package. I have visited this location and have never seen him here before. I believe he may be new. USPS needs more employees like him!!! He is definitely a breath of fresh air at this location. Thank you Josh for your help today, with shipping my mom's meds overnight.

We get other people’s mail all the time ... and have not gotten our mail several times that we know of. We have even had to pay late fees, for the first time in 40 years, on bills that we had not received in the mail. People our age often prefer to pay bills by check from a paper bill, as opposed to online. But since retiring to Swansboro 18 months ago, we don’t trust the USPS to do their job.
