In 2019 i was passing by cycling the GDMBR. I went there looking for a Victorix multipurpose knife called "climber". There had it. I made sure there is everything I needed on the knife. Everything perfect. The shop assistant took the knife put it into a box then cleared the desk from other knifes. A day later I found out that he messed up. He sold me another type of knife. Completely useless one. When I found out I decided to cycle about 30km back to the shop to exchange the knife for the one i wanted. No apology whatsoever and they requested I pay 5$ difference (the wrong knife they sold me at first was apparently bit cheaper). I told them I lost a day on my bicycle because their staff mistake so they can at least gimme that 5$ difference as an apology. They said 'sorry'. BTW. Its 2022 and their attitude still bothers me. You dont want to support such a business.

LOVE this place! I knew I needed hiking shoes for our trip to Glacier Natl, and a local on our flight in recommended it. We went the first night and I found a great pair of Keens. Went for a hike the next day and the shoes just weren’t working for me, were pressing badly on my upper ankle, causing bruising. Wasn’t sure if the Sportsman would accept a return or exchange but gave it a try. Everyone there was super friendly, understanding, and helpful! Found a pair of Oboz this time, and went for another hike the next day. To my surprise, disappointment, and embarrassment, these shoes weren’t working out either. The toe box was just too small for my toes and I felt my feet needed more cushion and support from the sole. I felt so bad going back to the store again to try to return and exchange a second time. BUT I did, and it couldn’t have gone better! As soon as we walked in, we recognized an employee from the previous night. Again, everyone was super nice and understanding, didn’t make me feel bad, and were ready to do whatever was needed to help me, even if that meant just returning the shoes for a refund. I went to look for a third pair and we were greeted by Will, who exuded friendliness, confidence, and knowledge about footwear. He asked questions and even looked at my feet, and brought out a wonderful pair of shoes for me. Even though I ended up selecting a different pair, Will continued to be super friendly and helpful, giving me confidence my final pick was a good one! I love my new Hokas, and I can’t rave enough about the amazing people at Sportsman & Ski Haus!

These guys are amazing! Super helpful with a return I did not think would be possible, then even found me what I would looking for at a different location that had it in stock. Will, the manager who helped me, really hit it out of the park!
