Life guards spend their time flirting and chatting with each other rather than guarding lives. Saw the girl with red hair reorganizing the pool weights, which meant her back was to the majority of the pool and she only glanced over her shoulder once every 50-60 seconds.

There are a lot of options here, shallow pool, 12 foot deep pool with short diving board, separate area for lap swimming, and even an indoor water slide. There's also a small dry sauna and a hot tub outside on the private patio. I enjoy the basketball hoop in the deep end. I do not enjoy the hot tub, it's a strange design and not hot or large enough. If you want a good hot tub go to Healthsport Arcata.

There is a sauna, and hot tub for adults only. The pool area is big enough for plenty of people. Lifeguards on duty as well so kids are being safe. You have to leave the pool during their training times, so look up their schedule instead of just going on a whim. Fun, and friendly place overall.
