Nice hotel smack in the middle of town. Clean room, easy access to town center shops and diners. Floyd Country Store easy quick walk. Rooms are not normally serviced unless asked. We asked for fresh towels one morning but not delivered. Had to ask again next morning and successful that time. They serve a nice hot buffet with scrambled eggs, sausages, grits or oatmeal, bagels, biscuits, cereals, juice, and coffee. Friendly staff.

Right in the middle of town, with walking paths to everything, Hotel Floyd is a gem. Clean, spacious, individualized rooms make for a quirky vibe. We’ll be back.

This was our first time staying at this hotel. Very pleased with how big the rooms were and how clean everything was. It was super quiet and very relaxing. We asked the front desk about places to eat dinner. Not only did they make suggestions but they walked us out and showed us the way to go. I have never had that happen before at a hotel. We've already booked out next stay there. Highly recommend. The town of Floyd itself is a fun place to visit. Lots of cute restaurants and stores.

Title this #Disappointment. We've been staying at Hotel Floyd for a decade, always in the pet friendly suites, and this is the first let down. I hope it's a one-off and not a decline. We were asked if we wanted the room serviced during our three night stay. Yes please, how about our middle day? Our room service was forgotten (the afternoon before our checkout, so no reason to call about it). On our first night, there was someone running laundry machines and talking on his cell phone on the other side of our apparently thin, non-insulated bedroom wall. Might as well have been in our bedroom. We'd not noticed this on multiple previous visits because the laundry was always run at an appropriate time between checkin and checkout. I let the worker know and it stopped. I called the front desk to change the service time for the next day and let them know, and asked that laundry not be run next to our bedroom in the evening. It happened again, *after midnight* on our last night. When I called the front desk, the response was 'I'll pass it on, honey'. No, don't pass it on. Get it stopped. And finally, what used to be a hallmark of the Hotel Floyd, their fantastic breakfast, is back after the pandemic. Well, back as a mediocre, typical hotel breakfast. Premade scrambled eggs, sausage and porridge were put out in quantities too large for the weekday guest occupancy and just left to warm until they were gone, half an hour, 45 minutes or more. This I would not have noticed had our stay been at the run of the mill 2-3 star hotel, but given the Hotel Floyd's history with a fantastic, home-cooked breakfast, it was very disappointing. I hope this is not a trend.
