In an effort to save time, they do sometimes make shortcuts. If you go there regularly, however, you'll notice that this sometimes means you end up with less than it's worth in the full breakdown. But, sometimes you end up with more, so it's worth it over time. Try not to bring more than five differently priced items. For example, if you bring dirty cast aluminum and clean extruded, they might weigh it all together and give you a medium range sheet aluminum price. It's not perfect, but if they're saving time, so are you. They also like to price all ferrous metals as cheap scrap tin, so if you have cast iron or stainless steel, be sure to point it out to them to get the fairly price. Also, make sure you read the receipt before walking too far away, as mistakes happen. On the other hand, their own haste costs them too. They don't magnet test as far as I've seen, so some of your dirty stuff will be overlooked if it's in a bucket with the clean. They don't scrutinize dirty wire too closely, so it all looks like insulated copper wire, even if there's some aluminum wire in the mix.

Their process is always quick and easy. However, we drove all the way across town, only to be turned away despite arriving half an hour before closing. The advertised closing time is 4:30pm, yet they denied anymore sellers before that.

They're great! Boom boom boom & your done. Of course it helps to be organized first. We have our stuff separates before we go. Dump, weigh, ticket, & paid. I've been to a few other places. To me they're the best.

Iim pretty sure they don't
You get the recycle weighed and sorted then the person gives you a slip that you take to the on site office and get cashed out. Fast and easy. The people are really nice there too
I don't know never took copper there before. Sorry 😐
They take plastic aluminum glass and non ferrous metals and car batteries
Sell the whole washer as scrap. You need a 500 lb minimum to qualify for payment. Drum itself isn't worth more than a few cents since payment is calculated by weight.
I've been there twice. It looks like they Receive aluminum cans, glass ( except wine bottles), plastic bottles. And all kind of aluminum such as radiator etc...
Probably not, but I am positive that you could purchase something, from someone, coming to recycle.
40.00 a ton. Paid cash.
Should be around .30 a lb. Thats what Rudys metals payes.
Inside the gate you can back up to the sorting areas. There's push carts for ease. You can park Out front if the lot inside is full or you'd like more social distance

The three day wait is for non-ferrous metals only. Ie: copper, brass, aluminum, stainless steel.
