We didn’t stop at this exact viewpoint. But I wanted to post some pictures from the drive of what the area around this viewpoint looks like.

If you are limited on time this is a good trip to see a few popular areas along the way from Phoenix such as Sedona, The Grand Canyon, and Horseshoe Bend. We suggest coming in through the east via the Mount-Carmel Tunnel pictured here. The road is very much like the Disney movie “Cars” because of the winding roads through the red rock features with several areas to stop along the way. The fee for vehicles to enter is 35 USD and is valid for up to 7 days. Because of the layout of the park a vast majority of it is not accessible to cars and you must use the free parks shuttle service. There are parking spaces available at the visitor center and museum there but they can fill up very quickly. Because of this you need to be sure to arrive early to avoid having to park in the nearby town and take another connecting shuttle to get into the park. The shuttles run from 7AM to 7:30PM during the peak seasons of Spring and Summer. Since you will likely be away from your car all day it is also wise to bring a larger backpack to ensure you can carry all the items you may need for your day at the park. Because of the shuttle it makes it convenient to be able to take pictures along the way without other vehicles in the way or worrying about needing to slow down or pull over. This was our second time back but we are hoping to be back for a few days and visit Bryce Canyon nearby next time around! - @wanderingwithustwo
