One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Social worker does not return phone calls. Took them a year to get the provider paperwork. Payroll staff lie. My provider is owed over a year of pay and no one at that office wants to get her her pay. .

I started the application process in April, got fingerprinted and downloaded the packet! The packet said an orientation is needed but no information on the scheduling has been given! No one has responded to my email nor phone calls!

So since Sept. of 18’ my mother and I have been trying to get a hold of ANYONE from the Stockton IHSS.. We were enrolled with them while we lived up there but since we moved we never received a check from a timesheet we had filled out completely and correctly. Both my mother and I have tried calling her old worker, her worker’s supervisor, as well as every number their voicemails provide and have never received calls back even after leaving voicemails. Your best bet is to walk in and handle everything you need to do in person. It’s been 6 months for me and still having to jump through hoops just to get my final check.

Im very frustrated with this place. I just seem to talk with an actual person. I have left several messages on their voice mail that says that someone will try to get back to me with 24 hours. It has been over a month....no reply...no response....no help! Im just trying to apply for services. Im disabled and I really need help.

Yes she can. She is not required to quit her job, as long as she can meet your needs while working the other job.
It can take up to 30 days for the Direct deposit to be implemented. The main reason for this is that there is a testing process,, So there is one testing period and then it becomes effective if everything works. Since IHSS providers are paid twice a month, that means up to 30 days. You will receive paper checks until your direct deposit becomes effective. Here is a link to a FAQ about Direct deposit. http://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/IHSS-Providers/Resources/Direct-Deposit
The short answer is no. A recipient can transfer to a new County, but they are reassess in the new County and for various reasons their hours may change. They could be more or less, but it is a new assessment. If a recipient moves to another County, their provider may work in the new County, and get whatever the new hours may be. The process takes 3 months to complete, and the provider must complete the enrollment for the new County. The recipient can hire through the portal.
San Joaquin County is currently working to set up their vaccine distribution sites. We will send a notice via email to all active IHSS Providers once we have the information. The vaccines will start before the end of the January 2021. IHSS Providers will need to show their Driver’s License or ID card AND a check stub- the online version from the portal is fine!
Timesheets are only mailed, you cannot pick them up. Once timesheets are issued, you can sign up for the Electronic Timesheets System (ETS). To use ETS your recipient must sign up also. You can use it to see when your timesheets are received and processed, and to replace missing or damaged timesheets even if your recipient does not join. Paper timesheets must also be mailed via the USPS to the Central Timesheet Processing facility. You should receive you timesheets within ten days of completing orientation.
Go to the IHSS office in the probation building, but in the basement they have them there.
No they only help with caregivers. They might give you references to places that could help you
This is a place of direction and understanding free through Google - you need to call payroll 468-2202
I don't know about the internal employment procedures
Thank you Anthony. If your Mom is an IHSS Recipient you can call 1-800-491-1996, or visit our website and click “Referral List Request” or select this link https://www.sanjoaquincares.com/referral-list-request.html
You need to contact the IHSS office at 209-468-2202. We are the Provider Office and do not process applications for recipients.
You need to contact your Social Worker in your current County to start the process.
Just go down to the I.h.s.s. building in Stockton and apply
Master Vang- if your dad is already approved for services, it usually takes 2-4 weeks. If your dad is not approved he needs to start by calling 209-468-1104 and asking for a "referral for IHSS Services", use those exact words. Within a few days he should have the IHSS application, about 10 pages. Complete that, and have the physician complete the Medical Certification. After that a Social Worker will visit and do an evaluation. A few days after that you will get a notice that he is eligible. This entire process can take 2-3 months. Once that is done call us. The Provider payroll enrollment process usually takes 2-3 months.
As long as the state of Nevada has In-Home support services there
a
We do not get paid for any gardening work. If you want to get paid for that type of work then your recipient would have to pay with thwir own money
If this is to Be a caregiver and you already have a client they are responsible for paying you in the event you don't get a clearance from the DOJ
You may call IHSS Payroll at 209-468-1706 to request a duplicate W-2.
There are several orientations each week, some in the morning and some in the afternoon. You will receive a schedule with the paperwork you get after completing your fingerprints. If you have not started the process, call us first.
We only accept applications in person. Once you turn in you application, you should receive a response within two weeks. If you have not heard anything within two weeks, you may call to follow up.
