I have never seen such a quick response from a government entity every single time I email them. Hats off guys!

My Schengen visa application process couldn’t be smoother! The officers and staff are really professional, responsive and helpful. The appointment system is also very intelligent and user friendly. Definitely the best experience I’ve ever had in visa application.

I received exemplary service when i visited this consulate for my Schengen visa application. The lady at the counter let us know that our finger print scans are good to go for 5 years, and we can apply for future renewals via mail. This would be my fourth Schengen visa, the service I received at the Swiss Consulate was the best of the fourth.

Friendly people. Clean. Great views back at the city and the fog at Exploratorium.

I did my test and nobody checked it. You need to be vaccinated, I just came to Zurich two days ago.
Do I need to have a covid test to enter Switzerland. I am fully vaccinated
You have to make an apointment.you can do it online!
you have to apply online to renew it, and then they will send you an email to make an appointment. You need to go to the Consulate.
Switzerland doesn't have requirements at the moment for tests or vaccines for COVID-19
Unless your foreign passport is accepted for direct entry by Schengen areas then yes I believe so.
Yes.
I just came to Zurich from US two days ago. I had my test result but nobody checked it. They just checked my vaccine card. You can call to your airline and ask them.
Yes, if you call consulate they are very friendly and can email need forms and walk you through the process. You will need to fill out doucuments and have a marriage certificate and birth certificate, both need to be originals not copies and issued with in 6 months of submitting. Marriage certificate must also be verified by an apostle in the state of issue. You'll also need to send a copy of your US passport.
It's a question to be asked at the British Consulate as well as Swiss. They are allowing some travel, but asking is critical. There is a 10 day very strict quarantine upon arrival with high fines for violation. You may have a reasonable request to arrive in Zurich given you family situation.
Walk-in and have a chat
https://www.eda.admin.ch/countries/usa/en/home/representations/contacts-overview.html except the zip code the address is same as in the consulate website. Any chance you missed the zip code?
Yes
It seems like the date the marriage certificate issued is no older than 6 months. To confirm, you can call the consulate.
Nope, not required
The security let me through with my bag including my laptop and phone while I wait for my appointment. I think you cannot use your phone during the interview, not while waiting for it. If you ask them through email they are very helpful as well. Worst case, I would search for a rental locker nearby and keep the unwanted electronics inside the locker during the interview.
No. No WiFi neither
Usually 2 weeks for sure from the time you fill in the application online, pay fees prior to online interview scheduling, dates availability followed by in person Visa f2f interview and another week for passport with stamped Visa collection or mailed option. Basically from start to finish minimum of 3 weeks and max up to 4 weeks
Didn't have that experience but if you email them, they could as long as you have the delivered documents tracking information
No I didn't see any parking available nearby.
I'm a dual citizen and my children have claimed citizenship. 👍
For length of stay, one has to check "duration of stay" on the approved Schengen Visa.
If you mean, an early appointment. Then send them an e-mail requesting for an early appointment providing reasons and proof of document about the request. Apart from that, their process and fee is standard. There is no such expedition format. But they usually respond to email and provide you the best available date based on your urgency, also after the interview, if the documents are good, you'll usually get the passport within a week if you do the pickup from consulate option. Email: sfr (dot) visa (at) eda (dot) admin(dot)ch
You will have to come down to the consulate some people don't make appointment either
So sorry for your lost
