Hosses has changed soup was watered down. Salad bar was kinda fresh. No cakes that haven't sat out for awhile. Steak was over cooked. Chicken salad had French fries and hot chicken that caused the lettuce to wither. Ice cream cones were stale. Only giving 2 stars because waitress was nice. Wasn't offered refund on chicken salad that was 13 dollars. Will not be coming back to this hisses.

We were headed North for the summer from Florida and stopped in on 5/3/22. We were greeted by Certified Department Trainer and outstanding Hostess Mary. We felt very welcomed. Buffet items were fresh, full and delicious. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. We will definitely add this restaurant to our stops when we travel North and South each year. Thank you Mary and Hoss’s.

A coworker of mine invited me to lunch and she chose to dine here. I was already curious about this restaurant because I am a steak and seafood fan so this gave me a great opportunity to try them out. I ordered a fried shrimp plate with a baked potato. The food was average and I declined their salad bar because in my opinion there was nothing appealing to choose from. My coworker has a physical disability that requires her to have a caregiver with her at all times. Her caregiver and I both felt as though she was discriminated against due to her race. The waitress that we had that day failed to acknowledge her presence by neglecting to remove her finished or empty plates from our table. It was very obvious because she was more attentive to me than she was to the other 2 ladies I was seated with. I ordered my beverage before they had arrived. Instead of returning with my drink the waitress chose to have a conversation with what appeared to be a co-worker about 6 ft behind me for about 3 minutes. She did this with MY DRINK in her hand. I assume their conversation was more important than taking care of her table. When we were finished with our lunch and received our checks I paid with my husband's debit card. Unfortunately his card was damaged it would not scan properly and caused it to come up as declined on their computer system. Of course it wasn't her fault that this card was damaged. This waitress returned to my table and spoke loudly enough for the guests at the table next to us to over hear every word she spoke to me with a condescending attitude that my card was declined. And might I add I used this card at Walmart before the lunch date and at Sheetz to get gas after the lunch date. So there was no way possible that the card could possibly have been declined. It wasn't entirely a big deal because I had another card to cover my lunch so that wasn't the issue. The issue was this waitress had the audacity to speak so loudly to me about something that could have very well been embarrassing or disturbing to the average person. If I didn't have the money to cover my food I might have been uncomfortable but I'm blessed enough in life to not have to stress such. But she didn't know that and it wasn't her care or concern. She only wanted to broadcast and attempt to embarrass and belittle me. I am thankful that I am inclined to overlook such ignorant actions displayed by the younger generation of this day. My other two table guests excused themselves to the restroom before we departed from the restaurant and as I quietly and politely waited on their return the gentleman at the next table commented on how he felt the waitress was extremely rude on how she handled the card situation. His his and his wife's comments on this confirmed the fact that I was right about her very poor customer service. I was curious about this restaurant but I'm not anymore. If anyone has a taste for seafood and a good steak I highly recommend you go to the Red Lobster or maybe even Applebee's. I would go to McDonald's and eat a hamburger before I would return to this place.

Yes it was when I was there also but it didn't have a lot. Like there wasn't a bread bar anymore. It was basically soup and salad with mac and cheese and some desserts.
I had no problems. All food service has to be in compliance. They must take course on how to handle food to prevent cross contamination.
They are always closed on holidays so their employees can be with their families.
